A portfolio of best-in-class GSSAs
WFC was formed in 2004 as an investor in best-in-class General Sales and Services Agencies (GSSAs) specializing in air cargo. The Group foresaw the trend toward exponential growth in passenger travel. Swelling order books for aircraft meant a proliferation in routes and a growing need among airlines for reliable partners beyond the key trade lanes to optimize their cargo penetration and revenues.
In 2004, the Group started building its European network and then, beginning 2007, substantially expanded into the United States. By 2010, the Group had established a solid presence in the Middle East and Asia.
The airline business is challenging as carriers face both capital and labor pressures on their balance sheet. WFC’s portfolio of GSSAs is well-positioned to support airline partners and help them optimize their cargo business revenues.
OUR HISTORY

WFC milestones
WFC portfolio companies operate a global network across all key trade lanes. Asia, the United States and Europe remain the largest regions in terms of coverage for them – in line with global trade flows.
Comprising more than 300 entities across 80 countries, the WFC network manages over 3 million tons of capacity annually for our airline partners.

A GSSAs’ network offering total capacity-management solutions
WFC portfolio is a network of General Sales and Service Agents whose core business is to provide airline partners with a comprehensive global presence and the resources to sell and optimize their cargo capacity. They manage the complete freight capacity sales process on an exclusive, outsourced basis.
In addition to sales resources, WFC brands have developed best-in-class expertise in customer service, reservations, flight planning, supervision, post-flight fulfilment and back-office accounting support.
